The NSW liquor laws mandate a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification course for those employed in the liquor industry.
These requirements reflect the importance of ensuring licensees and staff understand their obligations in serving liquor responsibly. Our RSA training course provides strategies that can add value to a venue's operations. The RSA photo card you will obtain through this course must be retained when working on any licensed premises.
Cost: $199 (usually $365 - save 40% - Special)
English Language Skills Required:
Spoken English is needed for in-class role plays, and written English is needed for in-class written assessments.
Prior Knowledge:
No prior knowledge, such as bartending or bar skills, is required to join this alcohol training course.
Course Outcomes
As a RSA course participant, you will receive:
- Liquor & Gaming NSW interim RSA Certificate
- Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment
- Plastic wallet-size RSA card (mailed by Liquor and Gaming NSW)
Course Times
Our classes run from 8.45 am to 3.15 pm. We offer RSA day courses every week of the year.
Who Can Enrol
Anyone who has never previously held a competency card or whose competency card has been expired for more than 28 days. Student visa holders can enrol.
Who Cannot Enrol
Anyone who holds a current RSA competency card or whose card has expired in the past 28 days. (In this case, you need to refresh with Liquor and Gaming directly, so click here.)
What Do I Bring?
Candidates must bring one form of original photo ID on the day of the course (passport, Australian Drivers License, or RTA Proof of Age Card).
How Will I Be Assessed?
You will be assessed through written questions and role plays, ensuring you are prepared for all aspects of the responsible service of alcohol.

Cancellation Policy
We are unable to refund monies for students who do not turn up for classes or decide after booking that they do not want to attend. Changes to class times are allowed, but not within 48 hours of the class commencing.
