Frequently asked questions

How do I book a place?

Use the class finder above to choose your course, location and date, then enrol and pay online to secure your spot.

Can you train my team or workplace?

Yes — we run group and onsite bookings. Call 1300 723 056 to arrange one.

What do I need before enrolling in Licensee Training?

You must hold a valid SITHFAB021 RSA competency. Licensee Training builds on your RSA for licensees, approved managers and club secretaries.

Who is Licensee Training for?

Anyone applying to hold a NSW liquor licence, or to be an approved manager or club secretary of a licensed venue.

Is Licensee Training nationally recognised?

It's a Liquor & Gaming NSW approved course (CBD College is approved provider #CCR10000169), not a nationally recognised VET unit. On completion the LT endorsement is added to your NSW Competency Card.

Does it renew my RSA?

Yes — completing Licensee Training renews your RSA competency at the same time.

How am I assessed?

Written questions across 5 modules plus 2 role plays, completed in class. You need 100% on the written questions, with two opportunities to resubmit.

What's the cancellation policy?

We can't refund no-shows or change-of-mind cancellations. You can switch to another class yourself through the Student Portal's Switch function — a switching fee always applies, and it's higher within 48 hours of your class. If you missed your class entirely or arrived too late to be let in, you can reactivate your booking afterwards via the same Switch function — 50% of the course fee within 7 days of your class, 100% after that.
