What differs by state is how the certificate or card is issued, how long it's valid and which authority oversees it. RSA is required nationwide
Across all states and territories — NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT and NT — anyone who serves, sells or supplies alcohol must hold a valid RSA. Each jurisdiction has its own liquor legislation and authority, but the requirement itself is universal.
