NSW liquor laws mandate responsible service of alcohol training for the liquor industry.
These requirements reflect the importance of ensuring licensees and staff understand their obligations in serving liquor responsibly and the types of strategies that can be implemented to add value to a venue’s operations.
By completing our course, you will receive a RSA Competency Card. This card must be retained when working on any licensed premises.

Aussies lead the world in coffee-making. Our baristas are world class. Sign up for a barista course and learn how to use a coffee machine today! We have new commercial machines for students to learn on.
What makes us different? Every student gets their own steam wand/group handle for the day. There is no waiting. We have one trainer for every 7 students.
Our 5 hour barista course results in a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment bearing the units of competency SITHFAB025 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and at no extra charge SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety (issued by CBD College, RTO# 91399).
This course can be completed in one day or split over separate days (3 hours one day, 2 hours on another).

Book into your RSA course first then you will be asked to book into your coffee courses - 3 hour Barista course and finally the 2 hour coffee art class. Ensure the dates and times don't overlap.

Who can Enrol
Anyone who has never previously held a competency card or whose competency card has been expired for more than 28 days. Student visa holders can enrol.
Who cannot Enrol
Anyone who holds a current RSA competency card or whose competency card has only recently expired in the past 28 days. (In this case, you need to refresh with Liquor and Gaming directly, so click here.)
Prior knowledge
No prior knowledge is required.
There is online learning that must be completed prior to attending the Barista courses.
Where do I go to attend the course?
CBD training rooms in Sydney are located in the heart of the city across from Central Station.

What do I bring?
Candidates must bring one form of original photo ID on the day of the course (passport, Australian Drivers License or RTA Proof of Age Card). Barista students need to wear enclosed shoes.
Cancellation policy
We are unable to refund monies for students who do not turn up for classes or decide at a later date after booking that they do not want to attend. Changes to class times are allowed, but not within 48 hours of the class commencing.
