Yes — CBD College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91399). You receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment. A USI is required and is free to create at usi.gov.au.

Is this the right course for childcare educators?▾

Yes. HLTAID012 Childcare First Aid is the unit required for educators and staff in early childhood education and care settings, and meets the ACECQA-approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma requirements under the National Quality Framework.

What does it cover?▾

Everything in HLTAID009/010/011 Provide First Aid plus child- and infant-specific content — including anaphylaxis, asthma, febrile convulsions and emergencies common in care settings.

How often do I need to renew?▾

The first aid component is generally renewed every 3 years and the CPR component every 12 months. Check your service's and ACECQA's current requirements.

Is there any pre-course work?▾

Yes — a short online module to complete before your face-to-face session. The link arrives after you book.
