Referral Program Terms

The CBD College Referral Program is run by CBD College Pty Ltd(“CBD College”, “we”, “us”), RTO 91399. It lets you share a personal link or code with friends: your friend gets money off their first course with us, and you receive a thank-you reward once they have completed it.

By sharing a referral link or code, or by using one to book, you agree to these terms. They sit alongside our student policies and privacy policy.

Anyone who has a CBD College referral code can refer. Students find their link and code in the Student Portal under “Refer a friend”, and on their booking confirmation. Some community partners have their own code by arrangement with us.

• Your friend receives $15 off their first booking with CBD College ($5 off when that booking is a CPR course, HLTAID009, on its own).
• It applies to our short courses booked online — including First Aid, CPR, RSA, RCG, White Card, Barista and Bar Basics. It does not apply to qualifications (such as TAE40122 or Certificate IV / Diploma WHS), to package bundles, or to corporate or invoiced bookings.
• It is for first-time students only and can be used once per person. A person who has booked with CBD College before (including through our previous booking system) is not eligible.
• It can’t be combined with any other discount, voucher or price match. If more than one applies, your friend receives whichever single discount is larger.
• The discount has no cash value and can’t be exchanged or transferred.

• You receive a digital gift card for each referred friend who completes their course and is issued a certificate. Booking or attending alone is not enough.
• The reward amount is shown on your referral page and in our messages to you. It is usually $15; as we test the program, some referrers are offered a different amount, and the amount shown to you is the amount you will receive.
• Rewards are sent by email from our rewards partner, Tremendous, normally within a few days of your friend’s certificate being issued. You choose a gift card from the options offered. Rewards have no cash alternative except where we have agreed otherwise with a community partner in writing.
• One reward per referred friend. A friend counts for the referrer whose link or code they used first; we can’t move a referral between referrers.
• If your friend’s booking is cancelled, refunded, or their certificate is withdrawn before the reward is sent, no reward is payable for that friend.

The program is for sharing with people you know. To keep it fair:

• You can’t refer yourself, including under a different name, email address or phone number.
• Don’t post your code on coupon, voucher or deal websites, or use paid advertising that bids on CBD College’s name. Referrals arriving from those sources don’t receive the discount.
• We may suspend a code, decline a discount or withhold a reward where we reasonably believe the program is being misused, and we may ask for information to confirm a referral is genuine.

To attribute referrals and prevent duplicate or fraudulent claims, we record when a referral link or code is used, basic device information (your IP address is stored only in a scrambled form), and the details of the resulting booking. A referrer may be shown their friend’s first name and course, but never their friend’s contact or payment details. We send a referrer’s name and email address to Tremendous only to deliver their reward. See our privacy policy.

Our referral program previously ran on the Referral Factory platform, with a 10% friend discount. Referrals made under that program before it closed are honoured under the terms that applied when they were made, and referral links from that program stop working when it closes.

We may change or end the program, or these terms, at any time. The current terms will always be on this page. Rewards already earned under the terms in place when your friend booked will still be honoured.
