Don't hesitate! I would have never completed this course if I had to do it online for a long period of time.

Nadia's Experience at CBD College

Could you tell us a little about your background and what led you to enrol in our course?
I am a hairdresser of 20 years and wanted to further my skills and knowledge to stay in the industry but go down a different path. By completing my TAE I am now qualified to teach at a TAFE level which means I could be in the industry for many years to come without needing to be 'on the tools' for the rest of my career.

What factors influenced your decision to choose CBD College for your studies?
To be able to spend two weeks full time focusing on the course face to face, and then completing the rest online was much less daunting than one day a week for 18 months. I had heard the course can be quite tedious and I know so many people who had started but never completed. I liked that this felt like a fast tracked course and I could complete the face to face practical component in those two weeks.

How would you describe your overall experience studying at CBD College? What stood out for you during your time here?
It was structured really well, the educators were thorough and always on hand for any questions we had. Natarsha explained things extremely well and really put a lot of time and effort into the students. Nothing was ever a problem and help was always available.

How has completing your course impacted your career or personal goals? Any achievements you'd like to highlight?
Completing this course has opened up the door for me to go into education through the TAFE system which is what my goal was. I have organised to shadow some teachers within the hairdressing sector up at my local TAFE which will hopefully lead to future work.

What are you doing now after completing your course(s) with CBD College?
I am working in my business full time with the hope to teach one or two days a week at TAFE eventually.

What advice or recommendations would you give to someone considering enrolling at CBD College?
Don't hesitate! I would have never completed this course if I had to do it online for a long period of time. It can be quite daunting at first, but being face to face for two weeks really helps to get your head around things as its a lot of information to process. My husband is also planning to complete this course next year based off my recommendation.
