RSA - The NSW liquor laws mandate responsible service of alcohol training for those who work in the liquor industry.
These requirements reflect the importance of ensuring licensees and staff understand their obligations in serving liquor responsibly and the types of strategies that can be implemented to add value to a venue’s operations.
RCG - It is a requirement of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 for proposed hoteliers, secretary managers and staff who will have gaming machine related functions to have completed the NSW Provide responsible gambling services course (RCG).
The competency card you will attain must be retained when working on any licensed premises.
Plus: Barista Basics MkI & MkII - 5hrs
Master Barista can be completed in one day or split over separate days (3 hours one day, 2 hours on another). Our teacher/student ratio is unrivalled in the training business.
Master Barista encapsulates our Barista Basics course (see course outline) plus an intense 2-hour coffee art experience that involves looking at etching, fudge art and free-pouring.

Who can Enrol
Anyone who has never previously held a competency card or whose competency card has been expired for more than 28 days. Student visa holders can enrol.
Who cannot Enrol
Anyone who holds a current RSA/RCG competency card or whose competency card has only recently expired in the past 28 days. (In this case, you need to refresh with Liquor and Gaming directly, so click here.)
Prior knowledge
No prior knowledge is required.
There is an online module that must be completed prior to attending the barista course.
Where do I go to attend the course?
CBD training rooms in Sydney are located at L5, 8 Quay St, Haymarket.
What do I bring?
Candidates must bring one form of original photo ID on the day of the course (passport, Australian Drivers License or RTA Proof of Age Card).
Cancellation policy
We are unable to refund monies for students who do not turn up for classes or decide at a later date after booking that that they do not want to attend. Changes to class times are allowed, but not within 48 hours of the class commencing.
