Yes. Your Liquor & Gaming NSW interim RCG certificate is emailed to you after your class. Please note that L&G will also require you to complete a separate 25-question online assessment — details are sent to you straight after your course. Once both are complete, you can apply for your competency card at a Service NSW centre.
Yes — student visa holders and working holiday visa holders are welcome. You'll need to bring one form of original photo ID (passport, Australian drivers licence, or proof of age card). The course requires excellent spoken and written English for role plays and written assessments.
No prior knowledge, hospitality experience, or qualifications are required. The course covers everything you need to know about responsible gambling services, NSW gaming laws, and how to assist patrons experiencing gambling harm.
In class, you'll be assessed by written questions across 7 modules plus 2 role plays. You need 100% in written questions, with two opportunities to resubmit. A Course Handbook link is provided in your booking confirmation — reading it beforehand is encouraged. After class, L&G will also require you to complete a separate 25-question multiple choice online assessment.
If your RCG competency card is still current or expired within the last 28 days, you need to renew directly through Service NSW — click here to renew. If your card has been expired for more than 28 days, you're welcome to enrol in our course to get re-certified.
We're unable to offer refunds for no-shows or post-booking cancellations. However, you can change your class time free of charge as long as the change is made more than 48 hours before your booked class.
No. RCG training undertaken interstate is not recognised in NSW. You must complete your RCG with an NSW-approved training provider like CBD College to work in gaming-related roles in New South Wales.
No — you don't need a USI (Unique Student Identifier) when you book. However, you will need one before your certificate can be issued. It's free and takes a couple of minutes to create at usi.gov.au. You can do it before class.
