100 points of ID — what to bring

SafeWork NSW requires all White Card students to provide 100 points of identification. All documents must be original (no photocopies) and issued in Australia — except for passports.

Example ID Combinations

Your ID must include a photo, full name, date of birth, signature, and current residential address. Here are some examples that add up to 100+ points:

  • Passport (70 pts) + Bank Statement (25 pts) + Medicare Card (25 pts)
  • Australian Drivers Licence (40 pts) + Bank Card (25 pts) + Phone Account (25 pts) + Bank Statement (25 pts)
  • Proof of Age Card (40 pts) + Medicare Card (25 pts) + Utility Bill (25 pts) + Bank Statement (25 pts)

Note: Non-Australian driver's licences are not accepted unless you've been in the country for less than 6 weeks. View the full SafeWork NSW ID requirements →

New to Australia? Visa holders & migrants welcome

International students, working holiday visa holders, and new migrants are all eligible to enrol — regardless of visa type. Your White Card is nationally recognised and valid across every state and territory.

Arrived less than 6 weeks ago? You're exempt from the 100-point ID requirement. Simply bring your passport plus one other form of ID (e.g. overseas licence or bank card), along with proof of your arrival date (boarding pass, e-ticket, or travel itinerary).
