Classroom Course

Entry Requirements & Assessment
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for BSB41419. You will need a laptop computer with Microsoft Word, good computer skills, and an appropriate level of literacy. For Zoom classes, a stable internet connection with camera and microphone is essential.
Assessment Work
All assessments are scenario-based and integrated — no workplace placement required. You'll start working on assessments during the 5 face-to-face days, so you'll already have momentum when the classroom component ends.
What to Bring
Photo ID, a pen and paper for notes, and your laptop with Microsoft Office installed (2007+ for PC, 2010+ for Mac). All resource files are available in your student portal upon enrolment. Neat, comfortable clothing required.
Flexible Completion
Work at your own pace after the face-to-face days. There is no minimum time — hand in your work as soon as it is completed. Students with VET experience and good computer skills often finish quickly.

Do I need prior qualifications or WHS experience to enrol?

Is this qualification recognised nationally?
Yes. BSB41419 is a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework. CBD College is a registered training organisation (RTO 91399) regulated by ASQA.
What's the difference between Zoom and Classroom delivery?
Both are face-to-face with a live trainer — the only difference is location. Zoom students join from home via video conferencing. Classroom students attend our Sydney or Melbourne CBD campus. Same qualification, same trainers, same outcome.
Can I continue to the Diploma of WHS?
Yes. After completing BSB41419, the core units satisfy the prerequisites for BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety. Because our Cert IV WHS already covers part of the Diploma content, graduates of our Cert IV only need to attend 4 face-to-face days (not 5) and complete 4.5 assessments (not 5) for the Diploma. Instead of completing a separate assessment for each unit, our assessments are designed to cover multiple units at once — reducing duplication and keeping the workload manageable.
