Nationally Recognised 5 Hour Barista Course - Newcastle (NSW)

If you are serious about getting a job as a barista then you must do a Nationally Recognised barista course.  

Our 5 hour barista course includes 2 hours of coffee art and results in a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment bearing the units of competency (issued by CBD College, RTO# 91399):

• SITHFAB025 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and
• SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety

This course can be completed in one day or split over separate days (3 hours one day, 2 hours on another).

We teach you how to use a coffee machine from scratch. With no prior experience, you will leave knowing how to:

• Froth milk
• Make espresso
• Make all coffees that you would find in a cafe
• Clean and maintain the coffee machine

Add our 2 hour coffee art class and you will not only get a nationally accredited certificate but you will also learn:

• How to froth milk more effectively
• Etching techniques
• Fudge art techniques
• Free Pouring techniques

We can provide advice on barista jobs in the industry to help you get started once you have completed your coffee training with us.

Assessment

Students will be assessed in class via direct observation of practical tasks. Prior to attending class, students must complete online learning which includes a multi-choice questionnaire.
