CBD College has devised its own unique integrated BSB40812 Certificate IV Frontline Management face-to-face course. We do not offer this course online as we are firm believers that Frontline Management skills must be demonstrated by a live trainer. Our completion rates are high and this is because of the dynamic approach that we have taken with this qualification.

We have carefully selected elective units that we believe are being demanded by industry today in Australia. The course is heavily slanted towards the all-important areas of leadership, working in teams, managing people, OHS and customer service.

With learning materials and assessments that have been carefully constructed to create intuitive learning, our course is very much a "learning by doing" course with time given in class to complete most of the assessments. We aim to arm candidates with the practical skills to go out and be valuable team members who are capable of creating exceptional customer service, leading teams and being able to properly plan, follow through and monitor effectiveness in the workplace.

Certificate IV Frontline Management would suit leading hands, aspiring leaders, middle managers, retail and hospitality supervisors etc.

We are a Nationally Recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 91399).

Work required

Consultation with past students suggests it would be fair to say that there is another 20 or so hours of work outside of class time students should expect to complete their assessment tasks. For students who are prepared to put in a few hours of work each evening whilst the course content is fresh in their minds, this can be decreased. Feedback has also suggested that average to excellent computer skills along with low-level management experience can also lower the time spent on assessments. We give candidates 6 weeks from the end-date of their course to submit their assessment tasks.

Computer Literacy

A laptop with Microsoft Office installed is essential for this course (Microsoft Office 2007 or later version for PC, Office 2010 version for Mac).

All assessment documents are written in Microsoft Word.

The laptop needs to be Wi-Fi enabled so that you can access the internet wirelessly from the training room using our Wi-Fi connection. You will be required to bring a laptop on every day of the course.
